VGAN Bridge Barrier

VGAN 400 is a MASH TL4 compliant, modular barrier designed for installation along the edges of bridges and elevated concrete structures. Featuring a triple rail design, VGAN 400 is manufactured from lightweight, special grade aluminium providing safe containment and redirection of high-energy vehicle impacts. The modular design uses standard components facilitating rapid installation and ease of repair. The single-cast posts are secured to cast-in anchors for new bridge constructions or can be secured to existing decks with chemical anchors.

What are the features of VGAN 400?

The VGAN 400 aluminium parapet is a modular, three-rail design supported by robust supporting posts at 1.83 m centres. The height of the system is 1200 mm.

VGAN 400 has been crash tested in accordance with MASH Test Level 4 (TL4).

The maximum dynamic deflection of VGAN 400 during MASH TL4 crash testing was 0.5 m. The working width of VGAN 400 during MASH TL3 crash testing was 1.16 m. These results were recorded during an impact with a 10,000 kg rigid truck travelling at 90 km/h and 15 degrees.
