Onetai Stream Bridge, North Island NZ
The Onetai Stream Bridge on State Highway 26, north of Paeroa, has been replaced with a wider, stronger bridge, which will make this key route safer and more resilient.
Safe Direction’s CrocGuard® culvert and bridge barrier system was installed, spanning the new 9m timber bridge without any physical connection to the structure.
CrocGuard® is a revolutionary MASH TL4-compliant barrier system spanning up to 16m between abutment posts. CrocGuard® applications include bridge decks that have insufficient structural capacity to withstand vehicle impact loads from a conventional post and rail barrier or culverts where there is insufficient fill height to support posts or a strip footing.
